Our dear beloved Cynthia Rae Lindsay Christensen. Cynthia was diagnosed with breast cancer in Sept. of 2010. She is battling and wining her fight! She is cancer free, and working to hard to recover from the five surgeries she has undergone so she can take care of her hubby, Gary(see below). Cynthia is one of six daughters, the mother of three boys, and currently has six grandchildren. Cynthia lives in Colorado Springs with the love of her life, Gary. Cynthia is one of the kindest people you'll ever meet. She is a wonderful example to everyone she meets. She is great at music, hosting parties, planning and organizing huge events for our church, and keeping our business organized as the office manager. She LOVES being with her family, especially hang'n with her sisters and her grandkids. I've been so blessed to have her for my mother-in-law, she is truly my best friend. Cynthia, we love you and we all RUN FOR YOU!
Love the blog and we love these people! We will do SLC and who knows, maybe we can make it to CS to run with you too!
ReplyDeleteSure love you all! All our prayers and happy thoughts are directed to the Christensen clan at this time!

ReplyDeleteThe Baers will definitely participate in such a great cause. It's an honor to know such noble and kind people. I've watched how beautifullly you both have handled such a hard challenge. I only hope we can do the same when ours come. We too love you guys!!
ReplyDeleteKris and I are in for Salt Lake for sure!!! What a great idea. I've been wanting a way to at least to something helpful. We love Cympia and Gary!!!!
ReplyDeleteCassie, I had no idea you started this. How WONDERFUL! Ben and I will find the race closest to us down there in the South. I may or may not get emotional doing so. I love your in-laws.

ReplyDeleteCount the Hawker's in! Our family has been touched by cancer (breast & renal)and we have been inspired as we have watched your family cope with grace. xoxo! I'm thinking Aspen!
ReplyDeleteI cannot think of two better people to run for! I started practicing last weekend after my injections and I did 4 miles both days. Thank you for this opportunity. Selfishly, it will help my body too! I love Gary and Cynthia. Their warmness is evident when you are near or far away b/c of their dedication to the Savior. I lost a cousin to cancer. They found his lump when he was doing his physical preparing for his mission. He never got to go on his mission here; but I'm confident he found his calling in a better place. Love you two lots!
ReplyDeleteYou are all so inspiring and such wonderful support. I am honored to be involved in such a great cause with you! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteHello, you wonderful Christensen's! This is Heather's sister, Tara Laudie - Joseph and I are going to run in Wichita for you in September. I'm so glad Heather is part of such a wonderful family - you are a blessing to so many lives. You are in our prayers!
ReplyDeleteHi family and friends
ReplyDeleteThe Wynns are just getting their acts together to join this great cause for all the people who we love dearly. Cancer has touched us on both sides of our family. I never knew Gayle, Steve's mom, but her legacy lives on in all of her friends and family and her example as well as all of these people posted here give me such hope and such inspiration. Yes, we will run now and will continue to run until cures are found. I am such a better person "Because I know you". (from Wicked) You are always in our prayers.
I finally figured out how to post a comment. We are all IN for the Tahoe race. We love you and are so impressed and proud of your courage and positive attitudes through out this challenge. We are all so blessed to have you in our lives and in our family. Love you lots!!
